Halles de Lyon - Paul Bocuse (indoor market hall)

Lyon

The ultimate temple of French gastronomy, the Kingdom of the finest regional produce and a few restaurants and oyster farmers. The Halles de Lyon - Paul Bocuse, named as such after the talented chef who has made this place famous worldwide, Paul Bocuse.

The Halles (indoor market hall) was opened in February 1971 by Louis Pradel, and then renovated in 2006. The roof is covered in grass and greenery. From March 1859 to January 1971, this market hall was located at Place des Cordeliers, in the 2nd 'arrondissement' of Lyon.
The roof will soon be transformed into a huge public garden, and will be open to visitors.
