Châteauneuf-du-PapeThe GENIEST family has been making Châteauneuf du Pape wine since the end of the 19th century, in the full respect of traditions and nature. We are happy to propose a fine collection of vintages and top-quality wines.
Except for a small parcel of land devoted to Syrah, adjoining the Châteauneuf-du-Pape cellar in the village, the vineyard extends to the south of the appellation, to hamlets with typical local names: “Crousroute” and “La Lionne”, close by a former loop in the River Rhone, called the Bras des Armeniers, and today reserved for fishing.
Family-owned for over 100 years, the estate offers guided tours of its winemaking cellar, followed by a tasting of its wines in the tasting room or, weather permitting, in the garden.
The aim is to make the world of wine approachable and accessible to everyone, free from the formality that can sometimes surround it. Technical terms and professional jargon are part of the trade, but they are not what truly matters. What matters most is creating a moment of sharing, discovery, and enjoyment.
Each visit is designed as an experience, with the hope of inspiring a sense of surprise, the very first of emotions. It is often this emotion that transforms a tasting into a lasting memory. And perhaps the greatest gift a wine can offer is precisely that: to be remembered long after it has been enjoyed.
