Chai Saint Olive Tasting and workshop
LyonChai Saint Olive is Lyon's first wine-producing cellar. In addition to being a production site, this creator of urban wines is a unique events venue that hosts tastings, tours, oenology workshops, training sessions, corporate events and private functions.
Chai Saint Olive invites you to discover all the stages of vinification of its products: from reception of the freshly pressed grape juices (known as the 'must'), to maturing in barrels or vats, and bottling. These activities can also be privatized on request.
The wines are produced using local grape varieties (Chardonnay, Viognier, Gamay and Syrah) which are carefully selected from four estates located less than 60 kilometres from the cellar.
The family, business and human adventure of Chai Saint Olive has been built on chance meetings that have turned into long relationships, including the cellar's partner winegrowers.
Raised on their terroirs, and passionate about their vines and their work, these winegrowers from the valley of the Rhône have adopted a responsible approach that respects nature and people.
During the 1.5-hour tour, indulge in a moment of winemaking and discover the city's winemaking techniques and wine tasting tips.
With the 2-hour workshop, immerse yourself in the art of blending. Between discoveries and tastings, you'll learn the secrets of creating a personalized wine and leave with your own bottle, the fruit of your blending talents.
