Domaine Comte de Lauze
Châteauneuf-du-PapeThe Domaine Comte de Lauze has been managed by its present owners since 1976. It consists of 9 hectares of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and 12 hectares of Côtes du Rhône. The cellars and wine-storage cellars, as well as the offices, are at the centre of the village.
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape vineyard is in the north-west of the appellation, on the road to Orange (the district of Cabrières). The soil contains clay and limestone with rolled pebbles, helpful vectors of heat and early ripening. The Mistral blowing across the Rhone Valley purifies and refreshes the vine. The red Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are made from a selection of two grape varieties: Grenache and Syrah. We also make a white Châteauneuf-du-Pape with Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussane and Bourboulenc. Harvesting is carried out by hand with strict sorting of the grapes. The Côtes-du-Rhône areas are between Sorgues, Courthézon and Orange.
In the heart of the prestigious village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Domaine Comte de Lauze invites visitors to experience the French art of hospitality in a warm and authentic setting.
The estate showcases the great wines of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation alongside a carefully curated selection of local and regional wineries. Full-bodied reds, elegant whites, limited-production cuvées, and discoveries from passionate winemakers each reflect the richness of an exceptional terroir shaped by the sun and the Mistral wind.
To enhance the tasting experience, artisanal charcuterie boards and a selection of regional delicacies are available. Carefully sourced from skilled local producers, these products pair beautifully with the wines and encourage moments of sharing and conviviality.
A place dedicated to discovery, exchange, and enjoyment, Domaine Comte de Lauze welcomes wine enthusiasts, curious visitors, and lovers of authentic local products alike. Here, wine is explored, appreciated, and above all, shared in a spirit of simplicity and hospitality.
An authentic experience in the heart of one of France's most renowned wine villages.
