Jean Pierre Rivière wine estate
LachassagneNestled among golden stones and hills in southern Beaujolais, our family estate cultivates much more than just vines: we cultivate a taste for sharing. Come and enjoy an authentic experience as you discover our discreet terroir, our wines and our daily life as winegrowers.
A family history rooted in the Pierres Dorées
Our estate is above all a story of family and tradition.
Winegrowers in Beaujolais since 1682, our ancestors have been cultivating vines on these lands for several centuries.
In 1984, Jean-Pierre and Colette Rivière settled in Lachassagne with three hectares of vines. They developed direct bottle sales and innovated by producing one of the first white Beaujolais vintages in the area.
Over the years, the estate has grown to 15 hectares, including 7 hectares in Saint-Trys, on magnificent clay-limestone terroirs typical of the Pierres Dorées.
In 2013 and then 2018, their children Alexandre and Marine joined the estate. Alexandre, an oenologist, devotes himself to the wines and new vintages, while Marine develops marketing, traceability and wine tourism. Together, they continue the family adventure with the same passion and a vision focused on hospitality and sharing.
Sustainable and committed viticulture
Committed to preserving this exceptional terroir, we work all our vines and wines using sustainable methods, certified by Terra Vitis.
Our desire to share the Pierres Dorées region, our winemaking profession and our wines naturally led us to create authentic and convivial wine tourism activities and events.
