We have to go back to December 24 1865, in Pont-de-Vaux, to find traces of the first poultry competition. Bresse breeders submit their finest rolled poultry to a jury of gourmets, professionals and chefs. The producers of the finest poultry are awarded the Grands Prix d'Honneur.
After the awards ceremony, it's time for the Bresse fine poultry market. Chickens, capons, turkeys and poulards for sale, to the delight of connoisseurs and gourmets alike.
There are 3 other competitions in Bresse: Bourg-en-Bresse, Montrevel-en-Bresse and Louhans.
