What is the Vallée de la Gastronomie ?

For the very first time in the history of French gastronomy, two large regions, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, along with two departments, Bouches du Rhône and Gard, are joining forces to launch a new tourism destination focusing on gastronomy and the discovery of local wines and products: the Vallée de la Gastronomie - France®

Any tourist activity that promotes gastronomy, wine and local know-how and is located within the perimeter of the Vallée de la Gastronomie - France® is welcome to join the destination.

Selection and validation criteria of the offers

The selection process considers various criteria and the mandatory referencing by an approved certification label, network or guide book. Structures proposing an offer meeting the criteria specified in the Vallée de la Gastronomie Charter- France® and belonging to the eligible labels / guides / brands / networks may express their interest via the form below.

Applications for outstanding experiences, gourmet festivals and events, markets, cooking classes given by ad hoc structures (excluding restaurants) and Food Tour/Wine Tour type tours have to be validated by the Vallée de la Gastronomie - France® approval committee (see the Vallée de la Gastronomie Charter).
