Laurent Moreau
Laurent Moreau is a passionate and inventive oyster farmer. In 2005, this producer decided to focus all his efforts on oyster breeding, to offer consumers top-quality oysters.
Laurent Moreau produces 'Perle de Carteau ®' oysters, offshore in Carteau Bay, and he also breeds fleshy Camargue oysters with an exceptional hazelnut taste and a rounded shape with jagged edges.
They are easy to open and very pleasant to taste.
Their annual production capacity currently stands at 80 tonnes of oysters.
The Perle de Carteau is an Oyster of Camargue, grown in category B areas, and is stored for at least 48 hours in purified water tanks, to ensure excellent sanitary quality.
The oyster spat are all of French origin and grow in water that is rich in nutrients, producing the superb taste and fleshy character.
To offer the very best products, Mr. Moreau renewed all his equipment, exchanging it for the very best in technology.
You can find Laurent Moreau's products in the shellfish purification stations in Port Saint Louis du Rhône (Camargue Coquillages, Les Viviers de Carteau, Thalassina or Joaline Coquillage), at O' Ptit Ange des Mers (Fos sur Mer) on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am to 1pm, and at La Couronne on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:30am to 1pm.
