A 300 m² exhibition space organized around a stone millstone and olive presses. The methods of cultivation, harvesting, oil extraction and preparation of olives will no longer hold any secrets for visitors.

Through the objects on display, you will learn about the centuries-old and recent history of olive growing in Nyons and its surroundings, as well as the various uses of Nyons PDO olive oil. From the harvest to the mill, discover the utensils used to contain and store the oil, as well as its many uses, such as lighting with oil lamps. You can also see an authentic 19th century mill, period presses, tools and various jars. And many utensils dedicated to the olive tree. This collection is presented by the Friends of the Olive Tree.

Videos are available explaining the age-old knowledge of the Baronnies olive tree, with all the ancestral manufacturing processes. In order to link this historical space with the contemporary one, the continuous extraction processes and the modern preparation of table olives are explained in the film dedicated to the cooperative.
